MTV has just premiered the first trailer for a new found-footage movie called Chronicle. Don't let those anti-Paranormal Activity groans set in just yet, however. This is not strictly a horror movie, nor its topic like most found footage movies, either: it's about teenagers with superpowers. Yes, we realize how cheesy that sounds, but on a scale of cool things, this looks closer to Trollhunter than it does I Am Number Four.
Chronicle was written by John Landis' son, Max Landis, directed by Big Fan's Josh Trank and stars Michael B. Jordan (NBC's Parenthood), Dane DeHaan (HBO's In Treatment), and Alex Russell (Bait). And though we never see him in the trailer, IMDB also tells us Michael Kelly is in it, so here's hoping he plays a government agent tasked with suppressing these power-hungry boys.
