Internet denizens, are you ready to rock? We hope so, because the boys from Spinal Tap may be coming to your town in the very near future.
Actor-director Christopher Guest revealed some interesting information in a new interview with The Observer – which hints that the king of all spoof rock bands is seriously considering another comeback. This would mark the band’s first reunion since their 2009 album Back from the Dead and their 25th anniversary tour. A tour in 2014 would celebrate the classic film’s 30-year birthday.
When the subject came up during the interview, Guest offered up the following comment. “We get asked to do shows on a regular basis. But what I will say is that we're in the midst of talking about something for next year.”
No word yet on how the guys will top their 2009 effort, which found them playing to 130,000 people at Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, but we have no doubt they’ll come up with something. Not too shabby for a fictional rock band, eh?
