Only a couple days after learning that Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman were separated, news has hit that the over-the-top singer turned over-the-top actress has officially filed for
divorce, citing the standard "irreconcilable differences". However, if you ask Bratman, that might be more like "the girl cheated on my ass, that's why!" There haven't been any official statements, and Aguilera has kept her trap shut, but sources claim the divorce is happening because Aguilera was with another man. Aguilera lists the date of separation as September 10th, 2010, and there's no indication as to whether the cheating happened before or after the duo were separated and living apart. They'll both share custody of their 2-year-old son Max.
Aguilera, whose last album didn't do so hot, is banking on her big-screen debut in Burlesque to help put her back on a map that people still want to follow. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen, though she'll be doing battle against another actress whose star has fallen lower than Lindsay Lohan's blood alcohol level: Cher. Can either of these two women use Burlesque to mount a comeback, or will the film force them to both consider burlesque dancing as a plan B career?
