Why not, right? While chatting up the goings-on of Tiny Lister, TMZ managed to get a couple tantalizing scoops out of the man, including the fact that Lister is meeting up with Chris Tucker and Ice Cube next week to discuss a fourth Friday movie, which he claims "is gonna be the big one." What's interesting about this one (other than it being rumored to be happening as far back as 2007) is it'll be the first sequel that sees Chris Tucker reprise his role as Smokey, having sat out the following two sequels, Next Friday (2000) and Friday After Next (2002). For Lister, he'll be returning to the franchise for the first time since 2000's Next Friday. No word on what the plot will be, but regardless we can't be the only ones interested in learning what Tucker's Smokey is up to after all these years.
In one extra little tease, Lister also admits to have spoken with Tucker about a sequel to The Fifth Element, though he doesn't go beyond that. Could Tucker be looking at staging a sequel that tracks his character Ruby Rhod? We're not sure whether there's any real seriousness behind those Fifth Element 2 talks or if Tucker was just opening the vault and wish-listing the characters he'd like to reprise in order to make some bank. Guess we'll see.
In the meantime, welcome back fellas ... (warning NSFW)
