Check Out Ridley Scott's Personal 'Alien' Shooting Script, Featuring His Notes and Drawings

Feb 06, 2013

Last week we shared this cool script from Raiders of the Lost Ark that was personally annotated by Harrison Ford. Now today we bring you (courtesy of one of our favorite film blogs Cinephilia) annotated Alien script pages direct from Ridley Scott. Stuff like this is why Al Gore invented the entire Interweb.

What really sets these script pages apart is that not only did Scott write notes on the pages for his own personal use, but he also sketched his own storyboards. This gives us another level of insight into the filmmaker’s vision when he was preparing to shoot specific scenes. Plus, that whole chunk of dialogue that he’s crossed out allows us to see how lots of things in the final script never made it to the screen.

Check out a few more pages below (click to enlarge), then more over at Cinephilia.
