Channing Tatum Bumps and Grinds in Two 'Magic Mike' Red-Band Trailers
Fathers, lock up your daughters -- because we’ve got two new R-rated booty-lovin' spots for Steven Soderbergh’s male stripper opus Magic Mike coming your way.
The film, which was inspired by star Channing Tatum’s days as a male exotic dancer, is an odd departure for Soderbergh – who’s set to retire sometime in the near future. The new clip features Tatum, Matthew McConnaughey and Alex Pettyfer on the stage shaking their money-makers for an appreciative female audience. It’s hard to get a feel for the plot from either of these clips, but we don’t think these ads were built to lure in fans looking for a deep meditation on working in the sex industry in the first place.
Have a gander at both trailers (one for theaters, a slightly tamer one for television) below. And to answer your most pressing question – yes, there’s a scene where Tatum impersonates a cop before ripping off his pants.
Oh – and in case it wasn’t clear, these clips fall into the Not Safe for Work category…unless you work in a strip club. Then it’s just business as usual. Enjoy.
Magic Mike will dirty dance its way into theaters on June 29th.
Which one of these people is in the movie Django Unchained?
