Football… soccer… call it what you like, but Guy Ritchie has created a three-minute short that shows how to take the sport "to the next level" for Nike. We get to watch the action on and off the field from a point-of-view perspective, revealing the struggles, victories and fun behind the game and the life of a footballer.
Geek Tyrant spotted the ad from a few years back, which Ritchie films in his gritty, frenetic style. There's puking, teeth falling out, scantily clad women, and all the stuff you'd expect Ritchie to include in an action-based ad. The filmmaker clearly wants us to know that soccer is much more than kicking a ball around and that it can be just as intense as American football.
