Casting: Leonardo DiCaprio in Talks for Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained

As previously rumored, Leonardo DiCaprio is now officially in talks to star as the villain in Quentin Tarantino's next film, Django Unchained, a sort of Southern Western about a former slave who is trained by a bounty hunter to exact revenge upon those who have wronged him. As of now the bounty hunter is going to played by Christoph Waltz, and Will Smith had been rumored to be up for the part of Django. DiCaprio would play the character Calvin Sandie, owner of a brothel housing black slaves. He features prominently in the script as having something both Django and the bounty hunter want: Django's wife. Other names mentioned for Django (if Smith passes, which he may) include Idris Elba, Jamie Foxx and Chris Tucker. [Deadline]
