Casting: Steve Carell's Horrible Day, Jennifer Aniston as a Funny Hooker & Woody Harrelson to Battle Christian Bale

— The Kids Are All Right director Lisa Cholodenko signed on to film a live-action adaptation of popular children's classic Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Vorst last year. Now, Deadline reports that the story about a charming kid grump is in talks with comedic star Steve Carell to play the father — who should be a good choice for the family-oriented film with his animated face and puppy dog eyes. He's also starred in several kid-friendly flicks like Horton Hears A Who and Despicable Me. Rob Lieber is writing the screenplay for Alexander — about a boy who happens to be having the worst day of his life and wants to pack up and take off to Australia. The key to making this movie work, of course, is finding the right child actor to play Alexander. Who can pull off the part of the loveable grouch, without being totally irritating? Share your picks below.

— Jennifer Aniston may play a "fake wife" and a comedic hooker in We're the Millers. The story follows a pot dealer (Deadline seems pretty sure that Jason Sudeikis will be playing the part) who tries to smuggle 1,000 pounds of weed cross country, and enlists the help of a phony wife and kids (who happen to be a couple of juvenile delinquents) to make it happen. Dodgeball director Rawson Thurber will be leading the "raunchy" comedy being described as a "warped Vacation" film. The script comes courtesy of Wedding Crashers writer Bob Fisher & Steve Faber. Is it wrong that we're totally bored by the idea of Aniston playing a streetwalker?

— Woody Harrelson just wrapped up The Hunger Games — playing an alcoholic Haymitch Abernathy. According to Coming Soon, the actor is now in talks to play a villain in Scott Cooper's Out of the Furnace. Christian Bale and Casey Affleck are already attached to star as the Blaze brothers. We're not sure why someone in casting didn't give one of those roles to Harrelson given his penchant for lighting up, but we'll let it slide. Zoe Saldana plays Bale's love interest and Sam Shepard will be the boys' uncle. Harrelson is in talks to star as Curtis DeGroat — a crime ringleader that Bale's character seeks vengeance against. The Blaze boys live in the economically depressed Rust Belt and want to find better lives, but when one lands in prison another is lured into a violent life that costs him everything. "The film is a drama about fate, circumstance, and redemption," Coming Soon shares. We like Harrelson as the baddie so we'll take it. What do you think of the cast so far?
