Where are your favorite comic book movie actors going outside of their supehero cinematic universes? What brilliant actors are joining highly anticipated movie franchises? Find out in this casting roundup:

Chris Evans

Captain America is off to work with Spider-Man's former director, as Deadline reports that Chris Evans is set to star in the next movie by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man). Titled Gifted, the drama is about a man who sues for custody of his neice, who as you'd guess is gifted. But not with superpowers. This is a return to a smaller sort of movie for the filmmaker, who broke out with the indie rom-com (500) Days of Summer. Like that one, Gifted will be released by Fox Searchlight.

Jeff Bridges

Former Iron Man villain Jeff Bridges is also joining a Marc Webb movie, this one being The Only Living Boy in New York, which will shoot after Gifted. According to the same Deadline report, Bridges will play a man having an affair with the also newly cast Rosamund Pike, who also winds up having a fling with his son, played by Fantastic Four star Miles Teller. The Only Living Boy in New York used to also be a Fox Searchlight release, but now it's set up nearby at Fox 2000.

John Boyega

Another post at Deadline has announced a new gig for Star Wars: The Force Awakens leading man John Boyega. In The Circle, from writer-director James Pondsoldt (The End of the Tour), he will get to romance Harry Potter star Emma Watson, the two playing co-workers at a tech company that takes the next step in offering digital identities for people. Tom Hanks is producing and also starring in the movie, which is based on the book of the same name by Dave Eggers.

Samantha Morton

Speaking of Harry Potter movie actresses, the great Samantha Morton (Minority Report) is about the become one. Well, she's not going to interact with anyone named Harry Potter, but via Screen Crush we hear that she's a late addition to the J.K. Rowling adaptation Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is set in the same wizarding world and which began shooting this week. Her part is unknown, but the two-time Oscar nominee will presumably get to work opposite recent Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne, who has the lead role of a magizoologist documenting fantastic beats for Hogwarts textbooks.
