— There's plenty to like about The Sessions: iron lung sex, John Hawkes, William H. Macy, "a reminder that we must be kind to one another." Director Ben Lewin is already set on his next project, as reported by the Playlist. He'll be remaking the 2004 South Korean film A Moment to Remember about a couple struggling through the effects of Alzheimer's disease.

The movie was actually based on Japanese television drama Pure Soul, and last we heard about the remake was 2008 when Erin Brockovich writer Susannah Grant was attached to the project. THR doesn't indicate if that's still the case, but Lewin did tackle his own screenplay for The Sessions, so things may have changed. The biggest news, however, is that rom-com darling Katherine Heigl has nabbed a lead role in the tearjerker. With a melodramatic story such as this, we can't say we're surprised to see her name pop up.

— We're getting a third installment in the Night at the Museum franchise, opening on December 25, 2014 — not really the holiday present we were hoping for. The Film Stage confirms that Shawn Levy and Ben Stiller will be returning to the fantasy-adventure series about a night watchman at the American Museum of Natural History where artifacts and objects come to life at night.

Meanwhile, Maze Runner is Fox's sci-fi actioner based on the James Dashner YA novel of the same name. Get ready for more postapocalyptic madness that sounds like the Hunger Games, featuring a young protagonist whose memory is wiped and deposited in a community of boys trapped in a giant maze. They're basically giant lab rats in a mysterious and complicated experiment. Wes Ball will be directing the adaptation. He recently received attention for his CG viral short Ruin – in another postapoc setting. You can watch it over here to get a feel for his style.

— If you've been clamoring to find out who will take on the roles that Abigail Breslin and Jesse Eisenberg made endearing in Zombieland for the TV remake, Vulture has what you need. The website reported that Tyler Ross, from the 1990s-set indie teen comedy Milkshake, and newbie Izabela Vidovic have been cast as Columbus and Little Rock. Cool — but all we really care about is another cameo from that guy who likes to show up at your local kickball game.
