Even though he was a relatively minor part, Casey Jones was always my favorite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character growing up. You can keep your wise Master Splinter or your wacky, pizza-loving Michelangelo, I'll take the dude in the hockey mask dishing out street justice not because a jar of ooze enabled him, but because it's what needs to get done over those mutants any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.
Apparently filmmaker Polaris Banks feels the same way. Copyrights be damned, Banks has gone ahead and made a feature-length film about hockey's most badass amateur player taking on the Foot. Yes, a feature-length Casey Jones movie exists, and here's the (dialogue-free) trailer to prove it:
Of course, since Blanks and company don't own the rights to the character, don't expect the opportunity to plunk down cold hard cash for Casey Jones any time soon. But, if you live in Austin, TX, you can catch a very special screening of the film on August 14th at Marchesa Hall. Head right here for the full details on the event.
