Just last week it was reported that Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass, Hugo) had been offered the lead role in a new remake of Carrie, Stephen King's classic 'don't piss off the unpopular high school girl with latent psychic powers' story that Brian De Palma first brought to the big screen back in 1976. And now less than a week later we've already got a fan's teaser poster for the film, thanks to the film's director, Kimberly Peirce sharing it on Facebook.

It doesn't say a lot about the movie, and it's probably just a fan poster (though its creator is unknown), but it does give us a tagline and a nice shot of a pale Moretz wearing a silver cross around her neck with blood flowing freely from her forehead. It likely won't be close to the final poster, but it's got some quaint, in so much as Carrie can be quaint, anyways, juxtaposition with the tear, the blood and the cross, which is enough to keep us curious to see what the director of Boys Don't Cry, the vampire from Let Me In, and a great Stephen King story bring us sometime next year.
