Paul Schrader may make a movie together? Let the misogyny chatter fly!
The Playlist is reporting that Ellis took to his Twitter account to share that he's working on a "L.A. noir micro budget Paul Schrader movie," and wants Deen for his lead, "Christian or Ryan." Ellis added that Deen "has to act and be full frontal naked banging girls and guys realistically." Yep, sounds like Ellis.
Deen entered the adult film industry at only 18 years old and first became popular with the alt porn crew, gaining career momentum à la Sasha Grey as a young performer who pushed limits. Now he's just about everywhere there's (rough) sex to be had, and the multiple porn parodies he's appeared in have hinted that there may be some actual acting prowess at play.
Schrader and Ellis were supposed to get together to work on shark thriller Bait — a revenge tale about a lowly beach club worker who leads a yacht full of yuppies into shark-infested waters. That never happened. Meanwhile, Schrader's script for Recall starring Clive Owen in the lead will begin shooting this year. It looks like his schedule has room for a nude noir with Ellis and Deen.
