You never know when Bill Murray might randomly show up at your next social gathering. He partied with a Norwegian girl in Scotland, he threw the first pitch for the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field, and he's inspired a website tracking his whereabouts — most of which seem fictional, but we wouldn't tear the Band-Aid off of anyone's fantasies when it comes to the Murricane. Recently, the actor popped up at a kickball game on New York City's Roosevelt Island. We'll try not to feel jealous, but looking at this picture the team snapped makes it kind of hard.
Murray is no stranger to playfully interjecting himself into situations with friends, either. According to an interview with the A.V. Club (via Grantland), the Ghostbusters actor apparently calls Scrooged cowriter Mitch Glazer, who is the husband of actress Kelly Lynch, every time the film Road House is on television. In the movie, Lynch gets hot and heavy with Patrick Swayze, who plays a bouncer at a rough bar and battles a corrupt businessman. She told them:
"Every time Road House is on and he or one of his idiot brothers are watching TV — and they’re always watching TV — one of them calls my husband and says [In a reasonable approximation of Carl Spackler], 'Kelly’s having sex with Patrick Swayze right now. They’re doing it. He’s throwing her against the rocks.' [Away from the receiver.] What? Oh, my God. Mitch was just walking out the door to the set, and he said that Bill once called him from Russia."
Lynch is referring to Saturday Night Live actor Brian Doyle Murray and Mad Men's Fred Rumsen, played by Joel Murray. We didn't think it was possible for us to love Bill Murray more than we already did, but his sex-scene heckling has officially sealed the deal.
