Let's face it: Robin has always been a sort of awkward character that the hardcore fans respected, no doubt, since he's a big part of the Batman mythology, but they still sort of favored a Batman minus Robin, especially during Christopher Nolan's latest batch of Bat-movies. From all we know about the film so far, Robin will not appear in The Dark Knight Rises. There's a chance he may show up as a surprise, either as Robin or some sort of new character based partially on Robin, but so far it doesn't appear as if he'll be in the final Christopher Nolan film. If he does show up, though, Joseph Gordon-Levitt will likely be the actor who plays him, and after seeing the latest image reveal from Batman: Arkham City (the sequel to very popular video game Batman: Arkham Asylum), we wouldn't mind seeing Gordon-Levitt play their version of Robin.
Kudos to the game developers because Robin looks damn badass ... finally. Liking the shaved head, muscles, armor, and right-out-of-a-youth-detention-center scowl, and I'm already envisioning the variety of ways he can kick the living crap out of bad guys with that stick. This is a Robin I would gladly watch on the big screen, and while I don't think the game and movie are connected in any way, a small part of me kinda wishes they are. What about you?
