Over the years we've seen hardcore geeks take some of their favorite video games and modify them to include characters and worlds not associated with the original version. Some of these have been made available to download, but others, like this one, had so much work done to them that it's impossible (for now) to be shared, only watched. In the video below, watch as one super fan modified Grand Theft Auto IV to include Marty McFly and a real working DeLorean that travels through time when you hit 88 mph, complete with fire tracks and a rockin' take on the Back to the Future score.
In short, this is the Back to the Future video game fans have always wanted, but never received. Something that allows you to simply drive around in the DeLorean, searching for enough Plutonium to allow you to travel through time. That's it. That's all we want. Forget the missions and quirky voiceovers, just let us drive the thing!
From the mod's creator:
"I made this video mostly to show what can still be done with this amazing game and to give other BTTF fans some information on how to create something similar, though not exact. I'll answer simple questions but I can't train you on how to mod GTA... you'll have to do some research yourself, if you're up to it! It's a hell of a lot more than just installing a skin or two... we're talking hours and hours of editing files. I've only played with it for a few hours now but it was totally worth it."
