Antiviral. He sells viruses harvested from sick celebrities to rabid fans that are desperate to commune with the famous and feel their diseases spreading throughout their bodies.
Yep, it's definitely a Cronenberg movie! Syd works for a twisted clinic marketing off this obsession, but also pushes the injections on the side by smuggling them in his own body. A chilling trailer shows what madness ensues, and damn we can't wait to see it. IFC hasn't set an official U.S. release date yet, but we do know the movie will be making its Canadian debut at TIFF's Midnight Madness and opening in Cananda on October 12. Erik Van Looy's dark tale is a remake of the director's original Dutch-language Belgian film of the same name. How's that for efficient? There's no release date slated for this one yet, according to
Shock Till You Drop, but the sexy psychological thriller contains all the tiresome male-centric anxiety that Hollywood loves, so we should find out more soon.
