Well that didn't take long. Inquiring minds have wondered whether the offspring of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would follow in their parents' footsteps by going all Hollywood, and now we know the answer: Yes. Well, at least one of them will... for now. Disney has confirmed today that one of the couple's 4-year-old twins, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, has landed a role opposite her mother in Maleficent, due in theaters on March 14, 2014.
Jolie-Pitt (yikes, it feels weird calling her that) will be playing a child version of Princess Aurora, with Elle Fanning starring as the teenaged version we'll see for a majority of the film. The film itself will tell the famous Sleeping Beauty tale, only this time it'll come from the perspective of the evil Maleficent (Jolie). Juno Temple, Sam Riley, Sharlto Copley and Miranda Richardson also star. No word on how much of Jolie-Pitt we'll see in the film, though expect her part to be small and talked about to death in the gossip rags.
One interesting note pointed out to us on Twitter via @popmortem is that history might be repeating itself here, as Jolie's first role was opposite her own father in Hal Ashby's Lookin' to Get Out. Guess it runs in the family ...
