In one of the most hilarious and inventive responses to a cable provider dropping a channel that we've ever seen, AMC has fired back at DISH Network after they dropped the network by launching a website and sending a bunch of Walking Dead-inspired zombies out to terrorize the citizens of New York City. The funky, nasty-looking marketing ploy was initiated in an effort to bring more attention to AMC's side of the story, where they claim this is DISH's attempt to "gain leverage in a lawsuit involving an old and unrelated business venture," according to their newly launched website, PutZombiesBack.com.
We don't have DISH, nor do we have any stake in whatever lawsuit they're referring to. But those of us who've found ourselves in the middle of a random cable dispute (it happens almost monthly these days) should hopefully find this amusing, if only for the shots involving New Yorkers fleeing for their lives.
