Your Favorite Thing Today: A Four-Year-Old Who Can Brilliantly Recite Jack Nicholson's 'A Few Good Men' Speech

Oct 23, 2013

Speaking from experience, bath time in a house where little kids reside can go any number of ways. If you're lucky, the kids will take their bath, play with a few toys and exit the tub without throwing a 20-minute tantrum where your bathroom floods because the kid won't stop splashing and screaming, and screaming and splashing, and so on. Or if you're really lucky, your kid will keep to himself while expertly reciting Jack Nicholson's entire speech from A Few Good Men.

Most parents are unpredictable in the ways they introduce their children to movies, and most kids are equally as unpredictable in what they pick up from the movies they encounter at a young age. For whatever bizarre reason, this four-year-old has a bit of a "thing" for A Few Good Men, and they've apparently watched it enough times for the kid to have memorized Nicholson's entire "You can't handle the truth!" speech.

Think you can handle this much adorable in just one video? Try it out below. I smell remake.

UPDATED: The boy's mom reached out to me on Twitter about the video, and when I asked how this all came about, she said, "My husband just taught it to him & he picked it up that way, he's never seen it, we just showed him that scene once he knew it." So don't worry moms and dads -- there isn't some couple out there shoving A Few Good Men down their kid's throat every night.
