With everyone talking about the awesome debut trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy today, it’s easy to forget that there’s also a totally awesome Godzilla movie due out this summer. In celebration of that event, Rialto has announced plans to release a restored 60-year-anniversary version of the original Japanese film – and we’ve got the new teaser trailer to get you ready for this epic celebration of one of the silver screen’s greatest monsters.
The restored print of the 1954 classic will debut at the TCM Classic Film Festival on April 12, then will continue to travel around the country where appreciative monster movie fans can see the film for themselves. This is the original, uncut version of Godzilla, not the recut release that originally played in America. It’s also subtitled, as opposed to dubbed, so we can all be thankful for that as well.
Check out the official trailer for the restored version below, then point your browser toward the Rialto website for official release dates and locations.
