While they never did get around to releasing that remake of Adventures in Babysitting, we may as well just scrap that whole idea because we have this instead: An updated, present-day version of the whole babysitter-takes-kids-on-wacky-adventure-through-city story that trades Elisabeth Shue for Jonah Hill (pre weight loss) in a comedy with more dirty words than any film in which someone is babysitting kids should ever have ... but that's kinda what makes it awesome.
Jonah Hill stars as some random dude who needs work and decides to take on a babysitting gig watching three nightmarish kids who instantly hate his guts. When he's teased into leaving the house by a drunk girl at a party who promises him sex, thus begins an adventure that involves drug dealers, guns, car accidents, curse words and more. We sense the "Protect the Children" groups already protesting this sucker before they even watch the trailer.
David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) directs, with Sam Rockwell looking good as a badass drug dealer, and Ari Graynor as the lovable whorish sex addict. Check out the filthy red-band trailer -- complete with an even filthier intro -- below.
The Sitter arrives on December 9th.
