If zombies, vampires and aliens are cool individually, then certainly a movie featuring zombies, vampires and aliens all together has to be the most awesome thing ever, right?
That’s the idea behind The Kitchen Sink, a new horror-comedy from Sony. Based on a 2010 Black List screenplay by writer Oren Uziel, the film is lining up its first cast members. Variety has revealed that Mackenzie Davis (The F Word) is in talks along with Nicholas Braun and Josh Fadem to star in the feature, which is now being helmed by Robbie Pickering (when the film was originally announced, Jonah Hill's name was attached as a director).
According to Variety, the script opens with two teens fleeing from zombies, who are also fighting off vampires. When an alien race invades with an eye toward eradicating all life on Earth, a teen teams up with a vampire and a zombie to stop the extraterrestrial threat once and for all.
Sony plans to begin filming on The Kitchen Sink this summer, which means we’ll most likely see it in theaters at some point during 2014.
