It's the sort of thing that probably happens every weekend around the world: A bunch of buddies go out and party so hard that they wake up the next morning with no recollection of what happened the night before. It was the basis for the movie The Hangover (and its sequel), in which Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms continually find themselves in the stickiest situations after wreaking havoc while under the influence and then having to piece together what actually happened the next morning. In the first Hangover, the guys woke up to a tiger in their hotel bathroom with no idea how it got there. Now, in a similar series of events, three Australian men woke up after a night of partying with a penguin in their apartment with no idea how it got there.
Fortunately (or unfortunately) for them, it didn't take a wild day full of mobsters, bogus weddings and Mike Tyson punches to figure out what happened ... because the boys bragged about it on Facebook after they stole the penguin from the Gold Coast Sea World in the middle of the night. When they woke up in the morning and found the penguin, the boys panicked and brought it to a canal where it was later discovered and safely returned to Sea World.
Here's hoping these guys don't plan a trip to Thailand anytime soon. [via Daily Mail]
