'The Hangover 3' Trio Wants More Money for the Now 2013 Release

Jan 26, 2012

Did you really doubt that The Hangover would become a threequel? The second film raked in $581 million worldwide, and Warner Bros. is ready to push ahead with another movie — but The Wolfpack wants more money. According to THR, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis have asked the studio for $15 million each in order to film a third installment in the goofy groomsmen franchise.

Considering the actors were paid less than $1 million each for the first movie it doesn't seem terribly unfair. With deals being made, the comedy looks to be back on track for a Memorial Day, 2013 release. Audiences weren't pleased to find out that part deux was a little too close to the original film, but the crew is promising something different this go-round. Director Todd Phillips clued everyone in last year on number three:

"If we were to do a third one ... I think we have a very clear idea where that would head ... It’s certainly not in the same template that you’ve seen these movies. The third would be very much a finale and an ending. The most I could say about it, what’s in my head, and I haven’t discussed it with these actors, is that it is not following that template but very much a new idea."

Are you buying what he's selling? What other kind of trouble can the trio get into from here?
