Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we can all get back to what really matters – nerding out over the new teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Today’s roundup features confirmation on those Andy Serkis rumors, a funny video lampooning George Lucas, and some of the cool fan art we’ve seen on the Internet since Friday. Let’s get to it.

Less than 24 hous after the trailer premiered, there was already a Lego version of it up on YouTube. Check it out below.

Andy Serkis confirmed as voiceover in trailer

Ever since the trailer debuted Friday morning, fans have been speculating about who was voicing the clip’s narrator. Many guessed that it was Andy Serkis – and they were right. That’s not all that the Internet sleuths uncovered, though – they’ve also revealed how Serkis will figure into the new films.

Jedi News reports that Serkis has two roles to play in the new trilogy – the first being his regular motion-capture work, the other a “pivotal role in the first-act story arc that entwines with Daisy Ridley’s backstory that may have more to it than it seems in the first instance.” Intriguing...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer gets the George Lucas treatment

Star Wars fans love taking shots at George Lucas almost as much as they love the films set in a galaxy far, far away – and this new fan-made trailer does a depressingly accurate job of spoofing what a George Lucas-led Special Edition version of the clip would look like.

About the only joke they didn't make here was one about Midichlorians, but maybe we just missed it while laughing at all the other great gags. [via io9]
