Young Han Solo Audition Tapes

Recently at Star Wars Celebration, Alden Ehrenreich was officially confirmed to be the new Han Solo in a forthcoming spin-off movie. We learned that he was the first person to audition, though we know that many other people were considered for the role, including Charlie Cox (TV's Daredevil), Miles Teller (War Dogs) and Dave Franco (Now You See Me 2), who have all spoken about the audition process

Late night television host Conan O'Brien has now revealed a brand new video, purporting to be "Young Han Solo Audition Tapes." Watch it below.

The first actor featured is Bill Hader, who was an instrumental part of the process to give voice to BB-8, the rolling droid introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Clearly, his vocal abilities are quite wide-ranging. It's also fun to see Melissa McCarthy (Ghostbusters) auditioning for another role that has traditionally been restricted to men. We also love Jeff Goldblum's dramatic reading of some of Han Solo's most famous lines.

The Han Solo spin-off movie is not yet officially titled, but it's set to open in theaters on May 25, 2018.
