'Star Wars: Episode VII' Fan Art: Here's What Luke, Leia and Han Might Look Like Now

Dec 03, 2012

So where are we with this Star Wars sequel right now? Well, we have a writer (Michael Arndt) and... that's it. Due out at some point in 2015, the new Star Wars sequel is still locking down a director before it moves on to casting what we imagine will be a mix of returning characters and new ones, and so while we patiently swim our way through a dark, murky sea of rumors until something more official arrives, we look to the fans for inspiration and a good laugh or two.

Should Luke (Mark Hamill), Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) actually reprise their roles all these years later, they're going to a look a bit different from the last time we saw them. How different? Let this piece of fan art -- which also includes Lando (Billy Dee Williams) -- clue you in to what the original cast might look like now should they all decide to return for the sequel.

Not bad, though the Obi-Wan look for Luke kind of freaks us out. Maybe Darth Vader wasn't his father after all? There's an enticing subplot for Episode VII if we've ever seen one...
