Well, sort of.
Let's start from the beginning: It appears to have all began when Molly Ringwald made comments to Out.com [via Movieline] regarding whether or not Jon Cryer's Duckie character from Pretty in Pink was actually gay. "Duckie doesn't know he's gay. I think he loves Andie in the way that [my gay best friend] always loved me," she told them. However, Jon Cryer wasn't at all ready to agree with Ringwald, telling Zap2It that he does not think Duckie was gay.
"I respectfully disagree. I want to stand up for all the slightly effeminate dorks that are actually heterosexual. Just cause the gaydar is going off, doesn't mean your instruments aren't faulty. I've had to live with that, and that's okay."
Okay, fine. So he wasn't gay. However this little exchange didn't stop here -- it continued on Twitter where Andrew McCarthy then got involved. McCarthy, in case you don't recall every square inch of Pretty in Pink, played Ringwald's wealthy school-girl crush, Blane. From there things got a little ... weird.
We tracked the conversation on Twitter, which reveals a love triangle that appears to still be going strong all these years later.
From there things get a little more awkward. Ringwald announces that she's going to be the Grand Marshall of the LA Pride Parade, and McCarthy and Cryer continue to go at it.
The conversation ends there for now, but feel free to keep tabs on these three as they continue to argue over who was and wasn't making out at prom at their respective Twitter accounts: Molly Ringwald, Jon Cryer and Andrew McCarthy.
