Henry Cavill on Christopher Nolan’s involvement
In an lengthy interview with F*** magazine, Man of Steel star Henry Cavill explained what many fans have known for some time, even though a vocal handful who disliked the Dark Knight Trilogy seemed to have missed the memo. On Christopher Nolan’s involvement in Man of Steel, he said:
"Chris Nolan wasn't there during the production itself, although I'm not sure how much work was done behind the scenes. I'm sure Zack had a phone call or two with him, but this is definitely Zack's baby. He was the man in charge, and we created the character together, as opposed to having too many outside influences."
Clark Kent Glasses for Sale
Warby Parker Eyewear and Warner Bros. have teamed up to release two exclusive styles of eyeglass frames inspired by Clark Kent in Man of Steel, available May 21 for $95 each.
For each pair purchased, Warby Parker will donate a pair to someone in need.
“Superman is the original do-gooder, and eyeglasses are a defining part of Clark Kent’s iconic look,” says Warby Parker cofounder and co-CEO Neil Blumenthal. “When we started Warby Parker, we made a conscious decision to build a company that could be profitable and do good in the world without charging a premium for it.
“The Warby Parker x Man of Steel collection includes the ‘Chamberlain’ and ‘Percey,’ two frames – one bold and one bookish – with graphics pops of color at the temple arm,” Blumenthal says. “Each is perfect for all your civilian responsibilities.”
You can sign up at the Warby Parker website and get a sneak peak.

Mackenzie Gray Interview
The rumor on the Web is that Mackenzie Gray, who played an older version of Michael Rosenbaum’s Lex Luthor on TV’s Smallville, will also be playing Lex in some capacity in Man of Steel. JTM Games, a Canadian video game website, caught up with Gray who spoke about the film and hinted at his role.
"I’m not allowed to say what I’m playing as it’s a big secret so I’ll keep that one to myself. But I can say that Man of Steel is a really amazing film. I think fans of Superman and great movies are going to love it equally … They didn’t even e-mail me the name of my role. I had to go to the set to find out."

Goyer Explains “Man of Steel” Title
In a podcast interview with Empire, screenwriter David S. Goyer talked about the decision to call the film “Man of Steel.” He said,
"That was [producer] Chris [Nolan] and I. [We called it] 'Man Of Steel' and Warner Bros. said, 'Why?' And we started talking about it, and we said, 'We want a line of demarcation in the sand between the old and the new.' We always knew we would be using the Superman glyph, or the shield as we call it. But Man Of Steel was also supposed to represent our take, which was he's a man, but he's not made of flesh and blood, metaphorically he's a man of steel. So that was sort of like the whole thing wrapped up in a nutshell."
It’s been a long strange trip since Zack Snyder was first announced as the director in 2011. With only a month to go, how are YOU counting down the days?
