Everything about Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive -- based on James Sallis' 2005 novel of the same name -- should have you anxious to get into a theater seat on September 16, and pay close attention. The Bronson and Valhalla Rising director's latest stars Ryan Gosling as a nameless Hollywood stuntman who freelances as a getaway driver for robberies. The rest of the cast is equally exciting – featuring Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks, Bryan Cranston, and Albert Brooks mugging a great mobster character. The red band trailer has arrived and does not disappoint. If the energy, action, and tension of the full-length feature match this preview – and early reviews of the movie say it more than delivers on all fronts – then we have a winner. Drive takes Refn's visceral intuition and makes it more accessible to Hollywood audiences (though, who are you people that didn't like Bronson, and where do you come from?). If this movie doesn't make Refn a star then we're doing something wrong.
