Hugh Jackman will soon be portraying Wolverine for the last time, but it's not the same X-Men mutant we've come to know, love and maybe fear. Instead, this Wolverine is an aging, weary mutant who has put away his claws and just wants to be left alone.

Set in the near future, Logan finds Wolverine retired but still with some fight left within him, even as his healing abilities have slipped away. After the X-Men are wiped out by an evil corporation, Professor Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) seeks out Wolverine for his help. They team with young Laura Kinney (Dafne Keen), a clone of Wolverine who is also known as X-23, in order to save the world.

What about the villains? We've already gotten a look at Donald Pierce (Boyd Holbrook), a cyborg criminal leader. He's not the only villainous character, of course, and now a new photo of Richard E. Grant identifies him as Rice.

In the comic books, Dr. Zander Rice is a dastardly character behind the creation of Wolverine clone X-23. He is a master manipulator and should add a good deal of menace to Logan. Speaking of which, Fox previewed the first 40 minutes of footage from the forthcoming movie yesterday and our own Erik Davis shared his reaction.

Logan will open in theaters on March 3.

Fox also previewed footage from two more forthcoming blockbusters, Alien: Covenant. and War for the Planet of the Apes. Here are a few reactions, all quite positive.

Alien: Covenant is due in theaters on May 19.

War for the Planet of the Apes is scheduled for theatrical release on July 14.

Finally, Sony made available a new shot from Stephen King's The Dark Tower, featuring Matthew McConaughey as the villainous Man in Black and Idris Elba as the heroic Roland Deschain, also known as The Gunslinger.

We have no further information at the moment, but we hope to see a trailer soon. The Dark Tower will open on July 28.
