If you’re in the mood for a sad and nostalgic short film to help you get through your Friday afternoon, we’ve got just the thing you’re looking for.
Keith Bearden’s short film The Raftman’s Razor debuted at Sundance way back in 2005, but it’s finally made its way to YouTube this month, meaning you can now see it from the comfort of your cubicle.
The film tells the bittersweet tale of two young comic fans who become swept away in a comic book entitled The Raftman. Each issue is 30-plus pages featuring a man in a suit floating at sea in a yellow raft. The only action in each issue involves the man shaving with his trusty straight razor while having one profound Zen Koan-esque thought about life.
The boys become obsessed with the book and expect something magical is about to happen when the latest issue breaks with the established format. Will something amazing take place? Check out the short to find out.
