Synopsis:
Cameron Kincaid (Michael Angarano) is a teenage film fanatic who is on a path more likely to land him in prison than on a film set. His only hope to escape the reality of his home life is to win a film school scholarship being offered in a local student film competition and pursue his dream of becoming a great film director. It seems like a long shot – until he meets a most unlikely mentor in an old man named Flash (Christopher Plummer), who longs for the days when he worked as a crew member of such cinematic masterpieces as Citizen Kane. As Flash sees his life drawing to a close, he seizes the opportunity to work with Cameron and, with the help of Flash’s eccentric friends at the Motion Picture home, sets out to help Cameron make his film and realize his dream.
