The Lonely Lady Details

FULL SYNOPSIS

KITTEN WITH A WHIP, 1964, Universal, 83 min. Dir. Douglas Heyes. Before Ann-Margret proved she could act, she proved she couldn’t with this laugh-out-loud classic. A-M plays a schizy juvenile hall escapee who holds married politician John Forsythe (DYNASTY) captive in his home. Jam-packed with faux-Beat dialogue and set afire by Ann-Margret at her vampy jailbait zenith, it demands to be worshiped on the big screen – and we don’t mean in the threatened Lindsay Lohan remake. THE LONELY LADY, 1983, Universal, 92 min. Dir. Peter Sasdy. Pia Zadora reaches bad-movie nirvana in this tale of a would-be screenwriter who gets abused by every man who crosses her path, including teen rapist Ray Liotta and impotent older husband Lloyd Bochner. There’s not a costume, a prop, a performance or line of dialogue that isn’t side-splittingly hilarious -- no one will be seated during the ridiculous nervous-breakdown sequence!
