A young rabbit with a Stanislavski education hops into Hollywood with dreams of becoming a serious actor. A Bunny Is Born is a flashback to the even-earlier days of Toontown when "Steamboat Willie" was the biggest hit of the year and a rabbit with a lisp had a decent chance of making it in motion pictures—if he cozies up to outgoing, but deranged moguls like Marvin Acme and stays away from that gold-digging Minnie Mouse. But when cartoons go from silent to sound, the only way the stuttering bunny can survive is if he transitions from suave leading man to slapstick comedian.
