Certainly not a traditional religious movie by any means, writer-director Woody Allen explores the moral dilemma faced by Judah Rosenthal (Martin Landau), an ophthalmologist who contemplates murder so he can continue his life of wealth and privilege. Although he’s rejected his religious background, he worries that God is watching his every move. Depending on your own beliefs, the resolution of Judah’s dilemma will be either satisfying… or deeply troubling.
