The Bad: Colin Farrell in Alexander

Alexander became the not-so-great in the hands of Colin Farrell. With the story of a famous conqueror and a director like Oliver Stone, the film should have been an epic, compelling look into the Macedon who created one of the largest empires of the ancient world. The actor, however, just couldn’t pull it off, and later noted: “I couldn’t even buy a packet of cigarettes without feeling like I needed to say sorry to the guy behind the counter just in case he happened to see the thing.” At least misery could love company; the also-abysmal Troy came out the same year.
