The term “bankable stars” is losing its value. Even though Movie 43 is overloaded with some of the biggest names in the industry, the film only went on to take a measly $30 million worldwide. The moral of this story? If you’re going to forgo a significant amount of your budget for hefty actor paychecks, you should probably make sure your material is worth it in the first place.
