Invictus (2009)

Invictus is the real-life story of Nelson Mandela and the South African rugby team's efforts to unify the nation after apartheid. Mandela and the team’s captain, François Pienaar (Matt Damon), believed that a rugby World Cup win could help ease tensions between white and black South Africans and create a new sense of national pride. Damon went through some intense physical training to look like the much-larger Pienaar. It may seem tasteless to point out a shirtless Matt Damon in such an inspiring and well-acted movie, but admitting that is not going to make the image any less memorable.
