Josh Brolin as George W. Bush in W.
One of the rare instances of a major film depicting the life of the sitting U.S. president (others include the JFK film PT 109 and the Clinton roman a clef Primary Colors), which is always a challenge for an actor. Bush could be seen daily on the news and impersonated regularly in parodies online or on TV. And as an expectedly critical film he wasn’t invited to personally study the figure up close and first-hand. He deserved an Oscar nod.
