Go to Iceland
RIFF or no RIFF, if you ever get the opportunity to take a trip to Iceland, you better jump on it. I had the pleasure of getting to stay with the incredibly generous and accommodating family of the Child Eater director, which undoubtedly contributed to what felt like a more authentic Icelandic experience, but if you take the time to meet the right people and/or find a service dedicated to personalizing your touring schedule, you’ll get everything you want and more.
My advice? Load up on the coffee, beer and pancakes, pack your schedule with excursions, be sure to have 350 ISK handy for the bus, and, if the time is right, catch a film at RIFF.
