Aftershock

Directed by Nicolás López

...But natural disasters can also be totally awesome!! From the director of Promedio Rojo comes a gnarly gore-fest about an American tourist (Eli Roth, who also produced and co-wrote) who’s trip to the Chilean town of Valparaiso is rudely interrupted by a country-flattening earthquake. Roth, his local buddies, and the gaggle of hot Russian models they picked up along the way (duh) are suddenly fighting for their lives as Chile begins to tear itself apart. It sounds sober, but the TIFF program promises that our heroes will be hunted by a pack of escaped convicts, whose first thought upon being restored their freedom is obviously to murder all the tourists.
