8 Great ... Stripper Movies

This surprise hit about economically disenfranchised Brits learning to dance and strip as a way of regaining their mojo led to a whole spate of comedies from the U.K. about regular folks engaging in semi-naughty activities. (See also: Calendar Girls, Kinky Boots, Saving Grace, et al). Much of Monty’s charm stemmed from the notion of its diverse cast (older gentleman Tom Wilkinson, plus-sized Mark Addy) shaking their moneymakers for an enthusiastic crowd of ladies. It’s a movie that encourages everyone to look inside for their own “Hot Stuff,” to quote a song from the late Donna Summer used memorably in one scene.
