10 Great Horror Anthologies to Watch While You're Waiting for 'V/H/S'

Believe it or not, America and Britain don’t own the monopoly on great anthology horror films. Released in 2004, 3 Extremes brought together a union of sensational directors from China, Japan, and Korea. Despite the fact that it is technically a sequel, 3 Extremes was the first of the series to be released stateside, lucky for us, as it is definitely the stronger of the two.

Fruit Chan (Dumplings), Takashi Miike (13 Assassins), and Park Chan-wook (Oldboy) lend their talents to this dark, bloody, and undeniably atmospheric film in ways that are sure to stagger, and possibly disturb, your imagination.
