OK, so “good” and “great” aren’t necessarily the same thing. Case in point: This is by no means a good movie, but it’s a great example of completely bonkers screenwriting. It’s a story about a magic mailbox — repeat, a magic mailbox — that allows doctor Sandra Bullock in 2006 to correspond with architect Keanu Reeves in 2004. (And once again Christopher Plummer is involved, this time as Bullock’s dad.) The physical distance between the two is minimal, as both Bullock and Reeves are living in the same lake house, but since they’re there two years apart, it makes their relationship somewhat tricky. This one’s no less entertaining for being totally and utterly ludicrous.
