A similar entry rounded out a version of this list in 2012, but it’s such a vital part of making movies that it deserves to be reiterated time and time again. Even though I’ve only made a handful of short films I can tell you that filmmaking is an all-consuming, exhausting and emotional process, and one way to turn all that time, money and effort into a fulfilling outcome is to be happy and enjoy the experience.

Lawsuits, box office blunders and creative differences are inevitable, but plowing through them with a good attitude, professionalism and respect (as seen in this behind-the-scenes pic from Saving Mr. Banks) could make all the difference.
