Mommy and daddy may have had to step in to microwave the bad guys in the Last House on the Left remake, but had Sara Paxton’s Mari not survived her torturous rape sequence, taken a bullet and swam all the way home, we never would have gotten that vicious third act blowout. But, in all seriousness, that girl is one tough cookie and it’s largely due to Paxton’s devastatingly honest performance. In fact, Paxton makes for such a strong character in The Last House on the Left, we can all pretend Shark Night 3D never happened.
