For Your Razzie Consideration: The Year's 10 Worst Would-Be Blockbusters

Dec 28, 2012 Comments

Despite his truly incredible The Grey, it really wasn't Liam Neeson's year. Of his four action films released in 2012, all but one are awful. Battleship might be the worst of all.

In full-on Michael Bay mode, director Peter Berg tries his best to pay tribute to our troops and squeeze an exciting alien-invasion film from a famous board game. A distracting Rihanna performance and yet another bland turn from John Carter's Taylor Kitsch probably don't help matters much either. In the end, this silly action film was too bloated and self-serious for its own good, leaving little in its wake but unintentional humor.
